I’M NOT MAD AT YOU. I’M BUILDING BEAUTIFUL THINGS.
In our call to be devotional reformers there will obviously be reactions from the system of religious slavery. I have no control over that. Let me be clear, I have a deep hatred for the system of religious slavery. I do not label any specific ministry or church as the religious system. I personally do not have one in mind. I have compassion for those that may be trapped inside but none for the cage itself.
I admit that I like what Thomas Jefferson once said, “I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” You don’t talk like that if your trying to be popular or to impress people. I have no one to impress. I make my home among four living creatures with six wings, full of eyes, within and without. Men can’t take anything from me. My treasure is in heaven. Men can’t take my ministry. My platform is the sea of glass mingled with fire.
I cannot help it that reactions from the system will make loud noises against a revolution in the area of devotion. After all a revolution is a change in power structure and some are just not going to accept that their power structure may have them at the top instead of Jesus. They don’t have to be mad. I’m certainly not. I hope they’ll join us. I have no desire to be Jeremiah in that sense that he was to destroy, uproot, overthrow, and tear down. I believe it’s Jesus’ purpose to destroy the works of darkness for me.
I have no desire to be like Luther and pick up a hammer and nail my 95 theses, 95 accusations against the system to anyone’s church. No, my desire is to take that same hammer of revelation and build something so beautiful that those granted permission to see it will gladly break free from captivity and build the dwelling place of the Glorious Lord, on earth as it is in heaven. My heart is more like that of Chesterton when he said, “Wherever there are happy men they will build beautiful things.”
I’m not alone. Others are finding a place called “joy unspeakable and full of glory.” They’re happy in Yahweh. It’s evidenced by peace. And in this peaceful happiness they are building beautiful things. The beautiful things they are building now are hidden from the common gaze. They’re mysteries now. This is not a walk through a mall or your favorite place to shop kind of beauty. It’s not the kind of things that visitors are attracted to. Its that kind of beauty that only the locals know deeply. It’s a wilderness beauty that few have come to value. They’re building a dwelling place for God within themselves. They are the beautiful things the Happy Lord is building. He’s the happy man, indeed, the happiest man in history according to Hebrews 1:9, and He’s building beautiful things outside the system. Come and see.
